KO Instruments, Inc.-Press
Release
BERLIN, Massachusetts,
February 17, 2004 – KO Instruments’ CBA-1000 Circuit Breaker
Analyzer was named 2004 Product of the Year Category Winner by EC&M
magazine for electrical test instrumentation. The CBA-1000 identifies
potential fire and safety hazards that may be present in electrical
branch circuits and verifies the safe operation of 120 VAC 15 and 20 Amp
circuit breakers. This hand-held instrument plugs directly into the any
receptacle outlet and in less than one minute automatically conducts a
series of measurements such as available voltage, wiring correctness and
voltage drop under load. Most importantly, the CBA-1000 verifies if the
breaker will safely respond to a short circuit load on the branch
circuit. During this breaker performance test, the fault current is
continuously monitored and the instrument will detect series faults such
as improper wire size, bad splices and loose connections. All test data
is recorded and can be viewed on the instrument display screen and
downloaded to a PC with KO Instruments ReportNavigator software.
“We are honored to receive
this prestigious award from EC&M magazine,” commented Crawford Cutts,
CEO of KO Instruments, Inc. “The CBA-1000 represents a significant
technical innovation that addresses the urgent need to identify
potential fire and safety hazards in the aging 120V electrical
infrastructure. Facilities managers and fire prevention professionals
at institutions such as universities, healthcare facilities and other
multiple tenant facilities and electrical professionals responsible for
verifying the safe performance of existing electrical installations in
commercial and residential properties find tremendous value in the
CBA-1000.”
KO Instruments, Inc. is the
leading manufacturer of test instrumentation to verify the fire safety
of all 120V all electrical infrastructure. The company’s CBA-1000
Circuit Breaker Analyzer is the only instrument that can conduct a safe
and valid test of the performance of 15/20 Amp 120 volt circuit
breakers. The CBA-1000 is covered by several US patents. To learn more
